120 Odell Clark Place

Nestled between two avenues bearing the names of civil rights giants, on a street named after the Chief Investigator of the House Committee on Education and Labor, this building in Central Harlem erected on the hallowed ground where Marcus Garvey and the UNIA once met, is home to New Yorkers of all walks of life. This project is a love letter to a building steeped in history—yet crumbling at the seams—and to the neighbors who allowed this photographer to enter their lives and document this community.
