What is it like to transition into adulthood following a traumatic childhood?Thresholdexplores this question with Ericka, a 24-year-old in Brooklyn who grew up in foster care, as she figures out who she is and works to break the cycle of abuse and trauma that has plagued her family for generations.

As she works on “adulting,” Ericka confronts outer and inner conflicts: difficult roommates,work stress, insecurity, and self-doubt. Through it all, she is searching to feel safe and at home within herself and her surroundings and striving to create “a peace so bountiful that no one can take it away.”
