Listening to Dido

Distance makes the heart grow fonder. The very mundane task of traveling home after a long day at work, Cardboard Cutouts act as commuters on the tube - everyone’s the lead character in their own life, but extras in mine. ‘Life for rent’ in my ears- giving me that sort of nostalgia for millennia Britain.  The pint of beer stands in-between us, symbolizing something we all have in common, something we are looking forward to. The pixelated couple, indicate a private thought that must be censored in a public space. ‘Listening to Dido’ is a celebration of the quotidian, a longing for home.
